Shipping & Delivery

How container delivery works, what it costs, how long it takes and what you need to have ready on site. Delivery is a flat $450 on every order.

Delivery options

How your container is delivered

One delivery option applies to every order in the catalog.

Delivery – $450

Delivery is charged at a flat $450 on every order in the catalog, with no additional shipping charge at checkout. Estimated delivery is 5 business days after dispatch. Orders are generally processed within one business day.

From order to delivery

Order confirmation

As soon as checkout completes successfully, an order confirmation is issued to the email address on the order. It records your order number, the product ordered, the total paid and the delivery method selected. Keep the order number: it is what you will need for order tracking, returns and any warranty question later on.

Processing

Orders are generally processed within one business day of confirmation. Processing covers order review, allocation of a specific unit and the start of the preparation routine described on the quality and inspection page. If anything about the order needs clarification, such as an access restriction at the delivery address, we contact you at this stage.

Shipping

Delivery is charged at a flat $450 on every order in the catalog. There is no additional shipping charge and no surcharge applied at checkout. The estimated delivery window is 5 business days after dispatch. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.

Dispatch

Once the unit passes final review it is released for transport and a carrier is scheduled. Containers are moved by specialist equipment: tilt-bed trailers, flatbeds with offload arrangements, or crane-equipped vehicles depending on the unit and the site. The scheduling stage is where the delivery date is fixed, and it is the point at which the estimated window becomes a firm arrangement.

Delivery

The carrier contacts you before arrival to confirm access and agree a delivery window. Someone needs to be on site who can direct placement and inspect the container before the driver leaves. Placement is a single operation: once the unit is set down, repositioning it usually means bringing equipment back.

Delivery area

Our development policy is nationwide delivery. Some remote locations, islands and restricted-access sites require special arrangements and may fall outside the standard estimate. If your delivery address is unusual, contact us before ordering so we can confirm what is possible.

Consistent everywhere. Flat $450 delivery, estimated 5 business days after dispatch. These figures appear identically across the site.

Site preparation

What you need ready before the truck arrives

Delivery problems are almost always access problems. Ten minutes checking the site before you order saves a failed delivery.

An accessible delivery area

A large vehicle needs a straight approach and room to manoeuvre. Allow roughly 100 feet of clear straight space for a tilt-bed offload, more for a 40 FT unit. Check gateways, turning circles and the strength of any surface the vehicle must cross.

Adequate clearance

Clear overhead space above the placement point and along the approach. Power lines, telephone cables, tree branches, canopies and low bridges are the usual obstructions. A tilt-bed needs substantial height clearance while it tips.

A suitable placement area

Mark out the container footprint plus room for the doors to swing fully open. Leave clearance around the unit for maintenance and painting. Think about where the doors should face before the day.

Ground conditions

Firm and level is the requirement. Concrete, tarmac or compacted hardcore is ideal. On softer ground, use concrete pads, railway sleepers or steel plates under the four corner castings to spread the load and keep the floor clear of standing water.

Someone on site

A person with authority to direct placement and to inspect the container before the driver leaves. Delivery without an attendee removes your opportunity to raise anything at the point of handover.

Time on the day

Allow time for the delivery. Offloading a container is not a two-minute job, and rushing placement is how units end up in the wrong position or out of level.

At delivery

Inspect before the driver leaves

  • Walk all four sides and the roof line, looking for damage that was not described on the product page.
  • Open and close the doors through full travel. Check that locking bars seat properly and cams engage.
  • Step inside and look up. Daylight through the roof or panel joints is the clearest sign of a problem.
  • Check the floor for damage, soft areas and standing water.
  • Confirm the container is sitting level and that all four corners are bearing.
  • Note anything of concern on the delivery paperwork before you sign, and photograph it.

If something is wrong

Transit damage

  • Photograph the damage clearly, including wide shots showing the whole unit and close-ups of the specific area.
  • Document the condition in writing on the delivery documentation before signing.
  • Notify our support team promptly. Prompt notification is the single most important factor in resolving a transit claim.
  • Preserve all delivery documentation, including the paperwork the driver leaves with you.
  • Follow the claim instructions provided by support. Do not carry out repairs before the claim has been assessed.

Delays

Delivery estimates are estimates. Weather, carrier availability, road restrictions, remote delivery locations and unforeseen transportation issues can all affect the window, and container transport is more exposed to these than parcel delivery because the equipment required is specialised and less abundant.

Where a delay affects your order we contact you with a revised expectation rather than leaving the original date standing. If a delay causes a problem for your project, tell us early: rescheduling is usually easier before dispatch than after.

Remote areas

Remote and restricted-access locations may require special delivery arrangements. That can include a different vehicle type, a crane offload, a transfer to a smaller vehicle for the final approach, or a delivery to an agreed accessible point rather than the exact placement position.

If your delivery address is remote, has a weight-restricted access route, or can only be reached by an unmade track, contact us before you order. It is a short conversation that avoids a failed delivery.

Shipping FAQ

Delivery questions answered

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is a flat $450 on every order in the catalog.

How long will delivery take?

The estimated delivery window is 5 business days after dispatch. Orders are generally processed within one business day before dispatch.

When does the delivery window start?

From dispatch, not from the moment you place the order. Processing normally adds around one business day before the unit is released to the carrier.

Do you deliver nationwide?

Nationwide delivery is our development policy. Remote locations, islands and restricted-access sites may require special arrangements. Contact us before ordering if your address is unusual.

Will the carrier call before delivery?

Yes. The carrier contacts you to confirm access and agree a delivery window before arrival. Make sure the phone number on your order is one you will answer.

How is a container actually unloaded?

Most deliveries use a tilt-bed trailer that slides the container off the back as the bed tips. Some use a flatbed with a crane or a side-lifter. The method depends on the unit and the site, and it determines how much clear space you need.

How much space do I need for delivery?

As a general rule, allow around 100 feet of straight, clear space for a 20 FT tilt-bed delivery and more for a 40 FT unit, plus room for the vehicle to approach and turn. Overhead clearance matters as much as ground space.

Can the container be placed exactly where I want it?

Within the limits of what the delivery vehicle can reach. Placement is a single operation, so mark the position clearly and be on site to direct it. Moving a container after the vehicle has left usually means arranging equipment again.

What if my ground is soft or uneven?

Use concrete pads, railway sleepers or steel plates under the four corner castings. This spreads the load, keeps the floor clear of standing water and prevents the frame twisting, which is the main cause of doors that will not close.

Do I need to be present at delivery?

Yes, or someone authorised on your behalf. You need to direct placement and inspect the container before the driver leaves, which is your opportunity to raise anything at handover.

What happens if delivery fails because of access?

A failed delivery means the vehicle returns without offloading, and rescheduling takes time. This is why we ask you to check access before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us and describe the site.

Can I collect the container myself?

Collection is not part of the standard development process. Every catalog order is priced with a flat $450 delivery charge. If collection is important to you, contact us to discuss it before ordering.

Can I change the delivery address after ordering?

Contact support as early as possible. Changes before dispatch are usually straightforward. After dispatch, a change may not be possible and may incur cost.

What if the container arrives damaged?

Photograph it, note the damage on the delivery paperwork before signing, keep all documentation and contact support promptly so a transit claim can be opened. Do not repair anything before the claim is assessed.

Will the delivery vehicle drive on my driveway or lawn?

That is your decision and your risk. Heavy vehicles can crack paving, break drain covers and rut soft ground. Tell the carrier about anything below the surface, such as septic tanks, soakaways or service runs.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Standard scheduling is on business days. Anything outside that would need to be arranged specifically, and cannot be guaranteed.

Is the estimated delivery date guaranteed?

No. It is an estimate. Weather, carrier availability and site conditions can all move it. Where a delay affects your order we contact you with a revised expectation.
