Choosing well
What the finder cannot decide for you
A finder narrows the field, but a few judgements stay with you. Measure the delivery route before you order: a tilt-bed truck needs a straight, level approach roughly the length of the container plus the truck, with no low branches, wires or tight gate posts.
Think about the ground. A container sitting on soft soil will settle unevenly, which twists the frame and makes the doors bind. Railway sleepers, concrete pads or compacted gravel under the four corner castings solve this cheaply.
Finally, think one project ahead. The difference between a 20 ft and a 40 ft unit is usually smaller than the cost of buying a second container later, and a high cube adds a foot of headroom for very little extra.
